Cook County Assessors Office Encourages Residents to Appeal

Knowing many residents are facing economic uncertainty right now, the Cook County Assessors office indicated that many homes could see their property values adjusted due to COVID-19s effect on the market. In a recent Facebook live presentation, the Cook County Assessor has encouraged everyone to file an appeal this year!

The first several townships are now open for appeal, and the others will follow quickly behind as the County works diligently to get through this year’s appeal process.  Residential Tax Appeal has spent the last many months improving our technology, streamlining the appeal service process, updating our FAQs and documentation, and will be soon releasing the first and only Cook County Property Tax Appeal mobile app for iOS and Android!

If you haven’t had a chance to visit the new website, we’d love to hear your thoughts!  Please visit, where you can check how your property assessment compares to your peers and sign up.

We continue to work hard to help Cook County IL residents save on future tax bills while spending as little as possible in the present. Not only has our technology improvements allowed us to pass savings on through making our Appeal Service pricing more affordable, but for a limited time we’re offering an additional 20% off!

Appeal for $79!

You can now appeal for $79 using coupon code 20OFF!  There’s no need to wait to sign up.  We’ll manage the calendar and process for you!

Not all property tax bills are created equal.  We are working hard to change that!
